Visit at the Blanton Museum of Art

Blanton Museum of Art at the University of Texas at Austin
has a great exhibition at the moment.
This is the link to the museum:

One of the exhibits is Goya MAD REASON
June 19-September 25, 2016

I visited the museum on the third Thursday this month, it stays open till 9p.m. and the admission is free. I took pictures and I am sharing these here only with the intention to share with you the beauty of the artwork and the great experience one can have admiring such great art.
Enjoy!

Francisco de Goya
(1746-1828)

Printmaking!
The exhibition has impressions of the artist's series;
Los desastres de la guerra, La tauromaquia, and Los disparates
an Arthur Ross Collection at the Yale University Art Gallery.

There was three paintings too and I had taken a picture of one, a still
life of fish on a platter but can't find it! :-/
Next, presents Xu Bing: Book from the Sky
a monumental installation by Chinese artist Xu Bing

The space is filled with magnificent printed text,
displayed in the form of hanging scrolls (the longest ones I've ever seen!), wall panels,
                                                                          and books.

As I read here about its meaning, it says that the text cannot be read!
The characters were invented by the artist.
Readable or not to my opinion the artwork is beautiful.
I do love paper, typography and journals after all :-)
Walking up to the second floor, there is this beautiful structure of a biplane
                                                                   with butterflies.
